Metric Dowty Bonded Washers

Dowty seals, also called bonded seals, are a washer kind of seal used to tighten the connection around screws and bolts. They provide an extra layer of cushioning that adds stability and strength to the connection. Bonded washers can also be used to create a sealing effect at certain joints, which helps prevent leaking in many different applications. Dowty washers come in imperial sizes and metric sizes.

They are typically made of both a metal and an elastomer/nitrile material. Nitrile rubber has the distinctive feature of high resistance to oils (aliphatic hydrocarbons) over a wide temperature range.
